Singing in the Shower
It is very rare to find people that don’t sing in the shower.
People just love belting their favorite tunes when they feel like no one is listening to judge them. The bathroom tiles don’t absorb sound, so your voice bounces back and forth around the room before fading away. It acts almost as a primitive Auto-Tune, in a sense it makes you sound better than you actually are, which is a confidence boost.
There’s just something completely satisfying about singing in the shower so I decided to take a poll and see what the absolute best songs to sing in the shower would be.
Some teacher examples of their favorite songs to sing in the shower include, Ms. Mayo’s which is anything by Amy Winehouse, Mrs. Hemsley-Cartotto’s favorite song to sing in the shower is the first song she thinks of when she wakes up, Mr. Rosa’s is Shallow by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, Mr. McElroy’s is Danke Shoen by Wayne Newton, Mrs. Salisbury’s favorite song to sing in the shower is My Church by Maren Morris, Mr. Cashill’s is One More Day from Les Miserables, Mr. Wertz’s is I by Kendrick Lamar, and lastly, Mr. Harris’s favorite song to sing in the shower is Knocks Me Off My Feet by Stevie Wonder.
A lot of students voted for Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen which was surprising because of how old the song is. This shows how long music from different generations can linger. On the other hand, many students’ choice was Shallow by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga from the recent movie, A Star is Born. So for some it’s the old classics, for others the new hits, and for Coach Mac for some reason, it’s an obscure 1963 hit by a guy known mainly as a Vegas lounge singer.
